- Co-Chair, Disney Media Networks, and President, Disney/ABC Television Group, Walt Disney
- Likely CEO of Disney in 2015 after Bob Iger steps down, whoo!
I’m going out of order but I’ll be having a critique at some of the world’s most powerful women, based off of Forbes.com annual ranking. What makes this special is that I’ll be looking at it from a fashion and apparel perspective. I like to think that our generation is so fortunate to have such spectacular women who are leading in incredible ways so surely we could take some business-savvy what-to-wear advice from them. They’ve basically had to perfect the art with nothing to go off so that’s why I felt they’d be perfect inspiration for Veni Vici’s future designs.
Let’s take a look at how Sweeny reps being legitimately professional while female (#PWF?).
Again, the never failing dress comes into play as Anne Sweeny’s on the carpet with Disney stars.
Find a nice dress, throw a blazer on top: DONE
I love how the fabric of this dress is chic while sturdy enough to look sleek and professional. It also wraps beautifully around her shoulders so that it’s not too emasculating.
A unique twist to the usual suit, Anne Sweeny wears a piece that uses a chain-like structure as a belt that cinches in her waist to give her form so her curves don’t get lost in the suit!
I love thicker threads in a suit; it’s perfect for winter, so why don’t designers use it more often for young professionals’ suits??
This is a very simple, easy look. It’s a no-brainer. Pin-stripe for the vertical, height added effect and a soft color with a necklace that proclaims: (PWF!) Powerful While Female
This is the more standard suited look; it’s never as fun and never feels as fun, but sometimes it’s what women feel like they have to do. Sweeny makes the look work for her by wearing a necklace and donning a soft, silky blouse in place of the regular cotton button-down. Awesome with a capital A.
Dresses never fail you. EVER. She looks comfortable and professional. Boom!
